You Got Your Peanut Butter In My Chocolate: J.J. Abrams And Star Wars

I have loved, loved, loved Star Wars since I was a little girl and the very first movie hit theaters. The real first one, before there were trilogies to figure out and questions about the correct order and special editions and 3D. I wanted to be Princess Leia. Now, I just want the franchise to shake the funk of the Emo-Anakin years and come out of the gate swinging, and I think that's exactly what's happened over the last week.

Zombieland Returns, But Not As a Movie?

I really like zombie movies and Zombieland has always been a favorite. How can you go wrong with Woody Harrelson losing his mind over Twinkies? You can't, and that's just one of the things I loved about the movie. A sequel could be interesting, but a television series leaves me with a lot of concerns.

I'm Not So Sure About "Superman: Man of Steel"

My first exposure to Superman came in the form of black and white reruns of the 1950's television series. That will always be Superman for me, which is why I'm a little nervous about Man of Steel.

The GeekMoms Podcast #38 "All Things Doctor Who"

This week I talk Doctor Who with my co-host from The Whoniverse podcast, Michael Gaines. Fans of The Doctor got so many new things in the Christmas special. There was a new companion, a new TARDIS and even a new intro for the series. Of course, in typical Doctor Who fashion, no one quite knows what's going on so Michael and I try to sort out the facts. Join us for a wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey Doctor Who discussion.

My Wibbly-Wobbly Timey-Wimey Doctor Who Obsession

Sometimes it happens that you open a book or start watching a show and within minutes you are completely and utterly sucked into the story. No, not just the story, but the whole universe. It's hard to say what exactly has grabbed on to you so strongly, but something has its hooks so deeply rooted in your brain that you don't even have to close your eyes and the world comes to life. That's me and Doctor Who.
