Send Me and the GeekMoms (and Dads) to SXSW

Every year, in the middle of March, hordes of tech, film and music geeks target Austin, Texas for South by Southwest. This huge event lasts for two weeks and is full of panels by experts in their fields.  As a writer at GeekMom, I've been given the opportunity to appear on two GeekDad sponsored panels, but I need your help. 30% of panels are chosen by popular vote, so if you could take a minute and give us a vote then I'll love you forever. Really, I have a list of people that I'll love forever and your name will be on it.  If you tweet and facebook and google+ us I'll even draw a little heart next to your name.

All you have to do is register on the site (it's easy, really, takes two seconds) then use the links below to vote for our panels by clicking the little thumbs up icon.

If there’s one thing geeks know, it’s movies. But how do you raise your geeky kids to watch the right movies? Join writers from Wired's GeekDad.com (named one of the top 10 Best Blogs of 2010 by Time Magazine) and GeekMom.com blogs as they discuss the ins and out of parenting, kids and movies.

Geeks have known about the "game layer" all their lives, some of us even live there. So, the importance of game play as a tool for teaching kids comes as no surprise to geek moms and dads. Whether it's role-playing, board or video games they are an important part of how we interact and bond with our children.
Thank you for your support, and hope to see you in Texas!
